Cool logo but where did you get the name Felonypixel?

While going to college, I worked in law enforcement fulltime to pay the bills for our family. There were some long hours but it was a great experience that I enjoyed. I will always respect that field of work and I never wanted to forget how hard it was to get my degree.

We matched Felony with Pixel, which represents a single dot in computer design, and that is how Felonypixel was created.

Career Path

I served four years in the military and then attended college. My college internship led to a great job designing multimedia for an educational software company. We were a small design group so that enabled us to wear several hats which provided us the chance to always be working hands on with proofing and editing copy, preparing storyboards and creating media.

After five years of design work I got a call one day from the local editor, he was looking to hire a new Online Director for his newspaper. I had been an online news junkie since my days in the military, which is where I saw my first website, so I took the plunge.

I had never really paid attention to the advertisement on the web, I was online for the content and design, but the newspaper industry did. They opened my eyes to a new platform. I got a crash course in marketing and selling banners, launching sales programs, rolling out new products and was addicted to this whole new world of dollars and designs.

Moving on to a larger online newspaper, my objective was to educate the sales team about the value of online and its marketing possibilities. I had the privilege of helping large sales team overcome the obstacles of understanding browsing habits and the buying process of online consumers, that the news content provided a gateway to great advertising campaigns.

In the news industry, viewers go to the site for the content, in business you have to find the customers and build the trust of your product. My next experience provided me that challenge by generating online marketing leads for a business-to-business sales company.

By analyzing metrics and data to measure effectiveness of online marketing campaigns, emails, search engine optimization, paid placement and web traffic analysis. Coordinated the development, execution and optimization of online marketing and email campaigns to meet business revenue goals and enhance branding identity.

Now, I am pushing myself to the next level, my family tree has many entrepreneurs and it is now my time. I have worked hard and have much left to accomplish, the passion for online marketing and social branding is Felonypixel.
