Learning More From Graduation
It has been a couple of weeks since I last posted, I took time away from the computers and laptops for some family time. My oldest son graduated high school recently and our house was inundated with family and friends. It was great to have everyone here but it also gave me a chance to plan my next four years.
Am I doing what I enjoy?
Can I be doing it better?
Am I headed in the right direction?
Depending on the day of the week, you could have gotten a different answer to the same question.
As I wavered back and forth I started to understand the difficulty my son was going through as he was being recruited by colleges to play baseball. Afraid of making the wrong choice, worried that there might be something else better.
That is when I decided life is just like high school. It seems hard at first and you cannot wait to leave but in the end, it is the planning that determines whether you are successful or not.
After going over things in my head and making notes, I am going to sit down this weekend and sort everything out. I will make a game plan and stick to it. I need to look at what is not producing. Am I working to hard on one project and not giving another venture enough opportunity? All of these things will come into play.
It was nice to take the time and remember what I am in this biz for, talk to you Tuesday with the outcome.
