That is what I was told yesterday by a speaker at a social media event, that it is a waste of time and has no value.

That it cannot enhance your business branding and can only provide 5,000 friends.  That it contains so much limitation and your privacy is taken away. So why do I go to this site everyday if it is of no value and provides so much transparency?

I do not play Mafia Wars or Farmville but I enjoy connecting with others from my past. As this social network has evolved over the past year, the majority of my “friends” are more business acquaintances than high school friends, so I am confused.

So where do you stand? Is it waste of time? Do you get any value from Facebook?

President Obama declared early in his Presidency that our national infrastructure must meet the needs of the nation, that “every child should have the chance to get online.” Almost a year and half later, we are still waiting. The final round of applications for Broadband Stimulus Funding opened today.

While your company my not specialize in this field, the outcome will effect our personal and professional lives in the near future.
